Supreme Court Chief Justice HL Dattu has cautioned the government to make minimum corporate use of agriculture land.

Addressing a function in Ahmedabad, Chief Justice Dattu said giving land to the corporate sector was alright as long as farmers received more compensation than the existing rate. He said the party in power should pay attention to and discuss ways to address the impact of climatic change on the agriculture sector and farmers.

Gujarat Governor O.P.Kohli called for long-term planning to protect India's natural resources.
