A senior officer of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department today resigned from service alleging that a Jammu and Kashmir minister abused him during a meeting at Civil Secretariat here.

Chief Engineer of the PHE department Muzaffar Lankar submitted his resignation to the state government following the incident, officials said. Lankar accused Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Minister Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan of using abusive language against him during a meeting which was also attended by PHE Minister Sham Lal Sharma, the officials said.
