Candidates awaiting results of Combined Defence Services (CDS) - Part 1 examination held on February 5, 2017 can finally heave a sigh of relief. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results on their official website - www.upsc.gov.in

A list of 8548 candidates who have been selected for the next round have been released on the UPSC website. The course will commence in April.

The candidates who have been selected will be eligible for admission in the following academies:

  • Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
  • Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala
  • Air Force Academy, Hyderabad
  • Officers' Training Academy, Chennai​

How to check if you have selected for the interview:

1. Visit the official website: upsc.gov.in

2. Click on 'Written Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2017' under 'What's New'.

3. You will be directed to results page.

4. Click on the file under 'Documents' section. 

5. Download the PDF and check if your roll no is there in the list.

About UPSC CDS:

Combined Defence Service Examination (CDS) is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year to induct officers into the Indian Defence Forces i.e. the Army and the Air force. Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam. Successful candidates are admitted into the respective Academies after an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
