Chandrayaan-2 Vikram lander has been located on the surface of the moon in a single piece and has not broken down into pieces. The lander has been found in a tilted position, according to an ISRO source.
Even after a hard landing in the south pole region of the moon, the Chandrayaan-2 Vikram Lander which lost connection with ISRO moments before its landing on Saturday has not broken down into pieces.
However, until communication with the lander is established, it is hard to predict its inside condition.
It has been found in the same position in which it was when ISRO lost connection with the lander just moments before scheduled landing on the moon's surface on Saturday.
But it is not in that position in which it should have been after the landing.

ISRO, 1.3 billion people in the country along with the world were waiting for Chandrayaan-2 to land on moon's south pole region on September 7 (Saturday early hours), however, everything didn't go as it was planned and expected as before the landing, ISRO lost the connection with the lander.

The lander was supposed to do a soft landing on the moon but it didn't happen since it lost communication with the ground centre when it was just 2.1 km above the moon's surface.
Though it was certainly a disappointment for ISRO and its scientists who had worked tirelessly for several years working to send Chandrayaan to moon but the space research organisation later said that its mission's 90-95% objectives were achieved after the orbiter which was successfully placed in moon's orbit to carry experiments as they were planned.

On Sunday, in another breakthrough, the orbiter had located the lander on the moon using its thermal imagery system and had also clicked its pictures, ISRO had said.
The space organisation further said that they were yet to establish a connection with the Vikram Lander adding it will be communicated soon.

The entire world is hoping that ISRO establishes its connection with the lander so that it can carry forward with its Chandrayaan-2 mission and take another leap into space exploration.
