In July, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s wink brought a political earthquake in Parliament. The hug and wink moment became the photo of the year. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, every senior politician had taunted and slammed Gandhi for his unparliamentary act.

Gandhi’s famous wink returned during a roadshow in Madhya Pradesh on Monday.

While launching Congress poll campaign in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal, Gandhi and other senior leaders including Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath stopped at a tea stall in Bhopal’s Gol village.

The Congress had also shared the video on Twitter. In the video clip, Gandhi was seen having chai and samosa with the Congress leaders within the security ring of the SPG. It is only in the last few seconds in the video, one can clearly see Gandhi smiling and winking at someone in the crowd.

While Congress or its party chief haven’t said anything on the ‘action’ so far, the roadshow has definitely created buzz in the state.

During the rally after the 18-km long roadshow, Gandhi took a a dig at Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and drew a parallel between his announcements and the runs scored by the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar.

While addressing a public meeting, Gandhi said, "You all have known about Tendulkar. Whenever he played any innings, everybody was assured that he will score at least 50, 60, 70 or 100 runs.

"Here, in Madhya Pradesh, there is a run machine known as the state chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan who makes announcements with the same pace," Gandhi said.

He said Chouhan has made 21,000 announcements so far "but nothing happened".

He then asked the gathering, "What you have got? Madhya Pradesh ranks first in unemployment, rapes, malnutrition and crime against women, Gandhi alleged.
