Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal told a leading English daily that eliminating corruption from the system remained the primary goal of his government. Kejriwal had sacked his minister Asim Ahmed Khan on October 9 charges of corruption.

According to Delhi CM, the fight against corruption has taken a toll after the centre decided to take over the Anti-Corruption Bureau. However through vigilance, Delhi CM claims to combat this menace. Delhi CM said that he has been stunned by the amount of hostility from the Centre, and alleges that the Modi government has interfered in every small thing. According to Kejriwal, even central ministers are helpless as the show is run from the PMO.

In the report, Kejriwal assures that his government will take steps as and when it sees compelling evidence of corruption.

Introspecting on the centre-state relationship and the frequent frictions that have made headlines, Kejriwal believes that the Modi government has been upset  after AAP stopped their juggernaut in Delhi. The friction has taken its toll on the bureaucracy according to the Delhi CM.

Kejriwal assures that work continues on in the draft of the proposed Jan Lokpal bill.

According to the Delhi CM, apart from measures to eradicate corruption, the government has taken significant steps to improve the health and education facilities in the national capital.

About the prospect of rebels who have left AAP, Delhi CM Kejriwal said that door is always open for people to return.
