The Central Railway will operate a block from 2300 hrs on July 12 to 0700 hrs of July 13 to enable officials of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai to carry out a building demolition alongside Sandhurst Road railway station.

Around 100 services will be cancelled because of this and a proposed mega block on the main line between Matunga and Mulund on Dn fast line from 1045 hrs to 1515 hrs will be cancelled.

However, the Harbour line block from 1130 hrs to 1530 hrs on the Kurla-Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Up Harbour line and Vadala-Mahim Up & Dn harbour lines will be carried out as announced.

Update:

Central Railway authorities on Sunday morning issued a statement saying that the demolition of the building alongside Sandhurst Road railway station had progressed to one floor with two more floors remaining.
CR officials added that demolition work of the remaining two floors was in full swing and was expected to be completed by 3pm on Sunday.

The demolition work necessitated diversion of Down slow line to Down fast line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Byculla because of which few trains were running 5 to 10 minutes behind schedule.
