Censor Board member Satish Kalyankar claimed on Monday that he had objected to certain scenes of the film PK because he felt they would hurt religious sentiments.

Kalyankar said that he has asked for a meeting with the CEO of the Censor Board to discuss his objections to the film. Kalyankar felt that certain scenes and dialogues of the film would hurt religious sentiments and hence violated the rules. Failing to get a meeting he said he had written of his concerns to the CEO.

Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati has demanded that the CBI investigate how PK received its certification from the Censor Board. A few members of the Censor Board reportedly visited his ashram.

Swaroopanand said that there were several members of the Censor Board who felt that film should be reviewed again and had written to Information and Broadcasting ministry requesting the same. There was however no action taken, according to him.

Swaroopanand said the names of those who had objected to the scene from the film had not been included in the certificate of the film and hence the matter needed to be investigated.
