The results for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 examinations for the academic year 2017-18 will be announced today on board's official website cbseresults.nic.in. Over 11 lakh students had registered for the Class 12 examination which was conducted between March 3 and April 13. After the leak of economics paper, a re-examination was conducted on April 25. A total of 11,86,306 students had registered for the CBSE Class 12 examinations which were held at 4,138 centers in India and 71 centers outside the country.

This year's examination was marred with controversy over the paper leak issue. The Board had conducted a re-test of Class 12 economics paper on April 25, nearly a month after it was leaked triggering widespread outrage and confusion among students across the country.

The CBSE had also postponed the examinations scheduled to be held on April 2 in Punjab at the request of the state government in view of 'Bharat Bandh' called by several Dalit organisations against the alleged "dilution" of the SCs/STs (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
