The new YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh has decided to restore the General Consent order of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to carry out their official duties in the state. In November 2018, former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had withdrawn the same as he had strained his relationship with the Centre.

"Chandrababu showed arrogance by saying he can do whatever he can. He stopped the CBI from doing its duties. He resisted I-T raids. However, now, our Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has restored the General Consent. Also, our Chief Minister has firmly said he will not leave thieves. Chandrababu must watch out,'' according to a tweet by Jagan's trusted aide V Vijay Sai Reddy, MP ( Rajya Sabha ).

Ever since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken over as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on May 30, and even during the campaigning of elections, he has left no stone unturned to fix Chandrababu Naidu and the previous Telugu Desam government.

Every day, Jagan conducts a review of all the official departments and the officials have been asked to come out with all the details, including how much the TDP government spent on snacks, water bottles, hotel stays and so on.

Currently, Chandrababu Naidu's trusted aide Y Sujana Chaudhary, a Rajya Sabha MP, is facing CBI investigation in a few cases.
