CAT 2016 exam to be held on December 4; registration opens from August 8

The entrance exams for IIMs and other B-schools will be held in December this year.

The entrance exams for Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other important B-schools, the Common Admission Test (CAT), will be held on December 4, 2016.

Interested candidates can register online from August 8 till September 22. The fees for the same can be paid by online means, i.e., credit card, debit card or net banking. The admit card will be given from October 18 onwards until December 4.

The exams will be held across 138 cities and two sessions each will be held each day, reports The Times of India

Following are the details of the exam, as given by Prof Rajendra K Bandi, Convenor, CAT 2016, IIM Bangalore.

CAT will have three sections - verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative ability. The test will be conducted for 180 minutes.

For students, a tutorial will be hosted on the official website to explain the format of the test.

The results will be tentatively declared on the second week of January 2017.
