The Jharkhand cabinet today approved the nullification of the proposed amendments in section 21 of Chottanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT) and section 13 of the Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act (SNT).

A government communique today said that the cabinet in its meeting, presided by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, approved the Tribal Advisory Committee s decision yesterday to nullify the proposed amendments.

The Cabinet was also briefed about the return of the amendment bills by Governor Droupadi Murmu with the comments of different political and social organisations.

The cabinet was also informed about yesterday s TAC meeting and its decision to nullify the proposed amendments in the CNT and SPT acts.

Das had yesterday announced the decision to nullify the proposed amendments in section 21 of Chottanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT) and section 13 of the Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act (SNT). The announcement came after the TAC meeting, chaired by him.
