In Kirnahar, just 500 metres away from President Pranab Mukherjee's ancestral house, lies the house of relatives of the main accused in the Burdwan blast.

According to media reports, for the last three years, a man called Kader used to live in the house with his mother and wife. Kader is the brother-in-law of Kausar, who is directly linked to the blast and currently wanted in the Burdwan case. The house has remained locked since the last four days, with no trace of the members, raising suspicions about their role in the incident.

According to the police, Kader was a mason by profession and often used to be away from home. His wife and mother rarely used to interact with the neighbours. Incidentally, Kader was in close contact with his relative Kausar the entire time during Durga Puja - also when President Pranab Mukherjee was visiting his ancestral home where his elder sister currently lives.

The fact that relatives of the suspected terrorists were living so close to the President's ancestral house has completely taken the police administration by surprise.
