Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his remarks over Union Budget 2019 said this budget is one of hope.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her first maiden budget today which was termed a roadmap to transform the agriculture sector of the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi further said that the middle class will progress with this budget and development work will expedite even more. The tax structure will simplify and infrastructure will modernise.

"Ye desh ko samridh aur jan jan ko samarth banane wala budget hai," PM Modi added.

PM also said that the budget will empower the poor and secure a better future to the youth of the country.

Speaking on the economic survey on Thursday, PM Modi said that the economic survey 2019 outlines a vision to achieve a $5 Trillion economy. "It also depicts the gains from advancement in the social sector, adoption of technology and energy security," he said.

Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Krishnamurthy Subramanian yesterday said that the economic survey showed the pathway for India to achieve its $5 trillion economy target by 2024.
