Buddhadeb leaves Forward Bloc office after being unable to climb stairs

CPI(M) politburo member Buddhadeb Bhattacharya today went to the All India Forward Bloc office for a get-together to celebrate the Bengali new year, but left as he could not climb the stairs. Bhattacharjee, who suffers from chronic lung disease Compulsive Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) could not go up to the first floor office of the Left Front partner as the lift was not working and left the venue after sending wishes to everyone present there.

CPI(M) member and Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Surya Kant Mishra, RSP member Kshiti Goswami and CPI leader Manju Majumder and AIFB state secretary Ashok Ghosh delivered brief speeches on the occasion.
