Jammu and Kashmir: BSF notices suspicious activity along LOC in Keran; resorts to firing

The BSF has resorted to firing after noticing suspicious activity along the LOC in Keran sector. The search operations are underway. More details are awaited.

Heavily armed militants suspected to be from Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had stormed an army base in Uri in Kashmir on September 18, 2016, killing 18 jawans. The Army foiled two infiltration bids in Uri and Naugam sectors of Kashmir on September 21,​ 2016. 

Meanwhile, a Pakistani national has been apprehended at international border in Akhnoor sector of Jammu by BSF
