Parray's killing is eerily similar to the kidnapping and murder of Lt Umar Faiyaz, a 22-year-old young army officer, who was posted with 2 Rajputana Rifle.
Lt Faiyaz was was picked up from his house at Harmein in Kulgam in May. The body of the young officer was later found three kilometres from his house.
The incident took place when the army officer had gone to attend the wedding ceremony of a relative.
He was abducted by five to six terrorists from his relative's house in south Kashmir's Shopian.
His bullet-riddled body was found in Harmain area of Shopian.
A local boy from Kulgam district, Faiyaz was in the Infantry and posted in Akhnoor area in Jammu.
He was commissioned in the Army in December last year. His death, particularly the brutal nature of it had shaken the Valley.
