The Bombay High Court has put on hold the release of of a translated edition of the Bhagavad Gita by Thomson Press after another publisher approached the court citing violation of copyright, reported Indian Express.

The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) has approached the court against printing and publishing company Thomson Press through its counsel and said that they hold the copyright of Srimad Bhagavatam, a translated work of which has been reprinted. 

Though the Thomson Press has claimed that it had obtained a license to print and publish the work, the plaint said that no such licence was granted to Thomson.

The court has prevented Thomson Press from distributing or further print this work till March 22. 

The final order in the case will be pronounced based on the Thomson Press' reply.

The next and final hearing and disposal will be on March 20, 2016.
