Bomb blast injures five children in Bihar

A bomb lying in a heap of garbage today went off injuring five children in Vishhari area under Kavaiya police station in Lakhisarai district in Bihar, police said. "The bomb lying in a heap of garbage exploded when some children playing there fiddled with it," District Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said.

The five children identified as Khushbu, Muskan, Golu, Ramu and Sonu -- all aged between eight to ten years -- sustained injuries due to splinters of the bomb, he said, adding all of them have been admitted to the district hospital.

Police have rushed to the spot to probe the incident, he said.
