After the controversy around BJP leader K Laxman's remark condemning Sania Mirza's nomination as the brand ambassador for the new state of Telengana, Sania took to Twitter to slam comments labeling her an 'outsider'.
The BJP leader K Laxman went on record calling Sania, 'Pakistan's daughter-in-law' and a 'non-local'. The statement outraged many across the country and prompted several Bollywood celebrities to come out in support of the tennis star.
Farah Khan declared in a tweet that she is proud of Sania.

Mushtaq Sheikh, better known as 'Sheikhspear' who has written Shah Rukh Khan's biographies and has also been a screenplay writer for films like Om Shanti Om, Billu and Ra.One, also voiced his support for Sania.
