Police said the incident occurred at 10:10 pm on Monday when a group of Lashkar-e-Taiba militants barged into the house of Farooq Parrey at Par Mohalla in Hajin.
Militants unleashed mayhem on Monday night when they stormed the house of one Farooq Ahmad Parrey, firing indiscriminately and hitting the women inmates with knives and cleavers before abducting and killing their son-in-law at Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
This is the second time in a year when tragedy has hit Parrey family. Last year, militants had beheaded Farooq Ahmad’s son Muzzafar Ahmad Parrey alias Muzz Nata and thrown the headless body into the river.
Police said the incident occurred at 10:10 pm on Monday when a group of Lashkar-e-Taiba militants barged into the house of Farooq Parrey at Par Mohalla in Hajin.
“Wthout caring about the life and dignity of the inmates, militants fired indiscriminately inside the house. The terrorists also used knives and caused grievous injuries to Farooq's wife Rafeeqa, daughter Neelofar and brother Hilal Ahmad Parrey. The terrorists later abducted his son in law Muntazir Ahmad Parrey,” said a police spokesman.
The injured were shifted to Srinagar for treatment. Police said Rafeeqa has suffered gunshot wounds and other injuries caused by a sharp weapon. Two other family members have suffered serious injuries caused by the sharp weapons.
Tragedy befell the family on Tuesday morning when police recovered the body of abducted Muntazir Ahmad Parrey from the outskirts of Hajin.
Police said during investigation it has come to notice that local terrorist Mohammad Saleem Parrey has played a major role in the killing of the innocent civilian.
“Five foreign terrorists affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba identified as Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider are also involved in the killing,” the spokesman said.
