BMC Elections 2017 | Mumbai police shuts Shobhaa De for mistakenly fat shaming officer

 Columnist Shobhaa De on Tuesday has created controversy all over again, when she posted a picture of a hefty policeman sitting on a chair with the tag line "Heavy police Bandobast in Mumbai today!"

The tweet went viral just few minutes after it was posted and comments and criticism on the tweet started coming in. Though, she had not tagged Mumbai police in the post, she received a reply from them which said, "We love puns too Ms De but this one is totally misplaced. Uniform/official not ours. We expect better from responsible citizens like you."
