The youth wing of the BJP, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), would be commemorating the 93rd birthday of the party's first Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as 'Sushasan Yuva Mahotsav' (Good Governance Fortnight) from December 10 to 25.

While the occasion would be used to propagate the achievements of Narendra Modi government, the gamut of pan-India programmes that has been planned would target all sections of the society.

"The BJYM is reaching out to youth throughout India to highlight the good governance model of the BJP as well as information related to government's programmes. The efforts put in by our PM Narendra Modi to improve the lives of the average citizen will bring about positivity among the youth," said BJYM national president Poonam Mahajan.

To target the youth, on the back of whose support the Modi regime came to power, Yuva Samvad (conversation) and Yuva Sammelans (conferences) would be organised in colleges and varsities, apart from Sankalp Goshti (symposia on sanitation).

At youth conferences, senior party leaders would address the youth in nearly 150 cities and towns and district headquarters.

To impart a renewed push to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, sanitation drives involving children and youth would be launched. The youth wing of the ruling party would also honour the safai karamchari's or sanitation workers as 'True Swachhta Ambassadors', in their respective areas.

"BJYM's legal committee would hold publicity programmes about the amendments or changes made in various laws in public interest by the Modi government. Meanwhile, the cultural committee would publicise the government's achievements through creative cultural groups of respective states," said BJYM secretary Anoop Antony Joseph.

"The sports committee will organise programmes to honour eminent and excellent sportspersons at district and state levels during this period and uprise the people about the decisions taken by government to promote sports in the country. BJYM will also run social media campaigns at various levels during the period and publicise the achievements of Modi government," Anoop said.
