Union Minister of State for Planning, Statistics and Programme Implementation (Independent Charge) Rao Inderjit Singh said on Saturday that winning the assembly elections in Haryana is the Bharatiya Janata Party's top priority.

Singh said, "Elections are going to take place in four states, and possibly they will happen on the same day. Haryana is one of them. The party's priority is to win in Haryana. In my understanding, the strategy has already been made for it."

Talking of the party's relation with the Haryana Janhit Congress, he said, "It depends if our alliance with the HJC continues or not. The announcement will be made in a few days. Accordingly, the party will decide on its strategy".

"BJP is preparing for 90 seats, and if the need be, BJP will fight on all 90 seats. Also, we want to win the majority as well", he added.

The election to the 90-member assembly is likely to be held before the end of October.

The term of the present assembly will also get over in the same month.
