Attributing BJP's good performance in recent Assembly elections to Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said it is due to the Prime Minister's popularity that the party has come to power in three states and was heading towards forming a government in Jammu and Kashmir.

"It is the result of the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that after Lok Sabha elections BJP has formed government in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and was heading towards forming a government in Jammu and Kahsmir," Singh said addressing a booth-level convention of party workers here.

Singh said BJP's winning streak would continue in Delhi, West Bengal, Assam and Uttar Pradesh and exhorted workers to be prepared for "mission UP". He said the situation in UP was not hidden from anyone and everyone knew what was happening under the SP rule. Noting that workers were the real force of the party on whose basis it emerges victorious, Singh said the target of BJP's membership campaign had to be achieved together.
