BJP, on Monday, rubbished Congress' allegation of Narendra Modi being a "potential accused" in Tulsiram Prajapati killing case, saying it was just another "diversionary" tactic by the ruling party to "detract from real issues" in Lok Sabha elections

Questioning the intention of Congress in raking up the issue now when it was in power for 10 years and "misused" CBI for various purposes, BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi hit back at it over "clean chit" given to Jagdish Tytler by Congress leader Amarinder Singh in 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

"Congress talks about some murder which is a tactical move to divert from issues. Non-existentinal issues are being raked up by the same government which has been malicious. Amarinder has tried to prejudge a case," she said.

Accusing police, which did not "fire" a single shot at rioters in 1984, of using excessive force against Akali workers protesting against Singh's comments, she also dissmissed Singh's allegation that Arun Jaitley represented "Dow Jones" against the Bhopal gas victims.

Daw Jones, she said, has nothing to do with Bhopal gas tragedy and the accused company is Union Carbide, later bought by Dow Chemical.

It was Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi who appeared against Bhopal has victims, she said, tauntingly referring to him as "CD man" and to Kapil Sibal, who had levelled allegation against Modi today, as "zero gain" minister for the country.

Asked about Bihar leader Giriraj Singh's refusal to withdraw his comment that Modi-baiters belong to Pakistan, she said many people needed classes on public-speaking but claimed he might have been misquoted.

"I condemn those who speak without rehearsing and thinking," she said.

She declined to comment on VHP leader Praveen Togadia's alleged hate-speech against Muslims in Gujarat yesterday, saying she won't say anything about people on whom she has no control and has nothing to do with.
