The RSS and BJP have organised a meeting in the Capital to discuss ways on taking forward the Sangh Parivar's ideology of "cultural nationalism" and review the Narendra Modi-led government's work over three years to promote India's rich culture.

The meet, to be attended by the Culture Ministers of BJP-ruled states, Union minister Mahesh Sharma and RSS leaders Bhaiya Ji Joshi, Krishna Gopal and Dattareya Hosbole, will take place on June 5-6 in Delhi, BJP sources said.

Taking forward the Sangh's ideology is a key concern, along with development, for the NDA government.

It is a coordination meet between the BJP and the RSS, with the latter reviewing government functioning in view of the Sangh's ideology, party sources said.

"From time to time, there are meetings involving BJP leaders and RSS functionaries to review good governance and implementation of the party's manifesto," said a party leader.

A 'distorted view of the culture of India' in various accounts and history books will also be taken up in the meeting. There is a plan to implement the Sangh's vision of India's culture and past in education as well that is likely to be deliberated during the two-day conference.

The meeting is being organised by the good governance cell of the party. A similar meeting was conducted in 2015 as well.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also spoken about India's culture being its identity and there being a need for a coordination meeting to promote the country's rich past. The Prime Minister's vision for a united India will also be taken up during the meeting.
