In order to garner support of voters from different sections of the society, about 300 BJP Members of Parliament will camp in the national capital for the next 20-25 days and organise Nukkad sabha ahead of Delhi Assembly elections.

A meeting chaired by BJP leader Ramlal today discussed the election preparations. "In the meeting, it has been decided that around 300 party MPs will camp in Delhi for the next 20-25 days and hold several Nukkad Sabha, which is prominent tool to connect to people and woo voters," said a senior BJP leader. He also said that the MPs will be assigned constituencies according to their religious profiles. Like, a Muslim MP will be doing meetings in Muslim-dominated areas while a Sikh will be assigned areas of his influence.

"For instance, party national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain will organise Nukkad Sabhas in Muslim-dominated areas to garner support of minority community. Party believes that through Nakkad Sabhas, it will also launch attack on Congress and Aam Aadmi Party and also list the good work done by Narendra Modi-led government," he added.

Party said that leaders will continue to organise such sabhas before the announcement of dates of Delhi Assembly elections as model code of conduct will then take place in the national capital. Meanwhile, around 150 leaders from Delhi BJP have also been asked to attend a workshop chaired by party national president Amit Shah to discuss on how the party would seek support of Delhiites.
