BJP files FIR against Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren

The BJP has filed an FIR against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in connection with assaulting of BJP activists in Dumka, the police said. 

The FIR was filed at the Muffassil police station in Dumka district on behalf of the party by BJP's poll observer Savran Manoj Mrinal against the chief minister, his brother Basant and other unknown men in connection with ransacking of BJP's office and beating up its workers last night.

BJP's Dumka candidate Louis Marandi staged a sit-in near the party office, sources said. "We are investigating the matter," a police official said in Dumka.
