Launching a frontal attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday alleged that the ruling parties mislead the people by creating an environment during the Lok Sabha elections that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can solve all their problems.
"An environment was created showing only one man has the magical wand which will solve all issues of the nation," said Hooda while addressing a rally in Ambala Cantonment.
Holding the BJP responsible for price rise and inflation, Hooda added, "I ask my sisters sitting here today, what is the price of potatoes, onions and tomatoes? They even increased railways fair which is a mode of transport for the common man and the poor citizens."
The Chief Minister further said that the people did not cast their votes on the policies of the BJP.
"The Congress has given Right to Information and Food Security to the people why did the BJP get majority in Lok Sabha polls. That is because the people did not cast their votes on the BJP's policies," Hooda said.
He appealed to the people to cast their votes in the Haryana Assembly elections only after making a proper judgement of the various political parties in the fray.
"All the parties will come to you, but it is for you to decide who is speaking the truth," Hooda added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister's son Deepender Singh Hooda while addressing a rally in Siwani Mandi area of Haryana's Bhiwani district criticized the BJP for attempting to overpower Haryana's development so as to mislead the people.
"The manner in which the BJP is lying about lack of development in Haryana, such statements reveals their intentions. If Haryana is lagging behind then they should tell that which state is leading right now, these are just ways to easily mislead the people. But all this will not work, instead they need to tell people what will they do in Haryana," said Deepender.
The election for the 90-member Haryana Assembly is scheduled to be held on October 15 while the results will be counted on October 19.
