BJP accuses AAP of raiding ordinary traders during its 49 day rule

Delhi BJP on Thursday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of raiding ordinary traders during its 49-day government in the national capital.

Referring to a RTI reply, BJP recently alleged that 151 raids were conducted on commercial establishments during the government of AAP, which had claimed that no raids were undertaken on ordinary traders during its regime. "In the 49-day rule of AAP, 39% raids were conducted on small traders in the city while 25% raids were done on industrial traders," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay told reporters here.

Upadhyay also said that 8% raids were conducted on IT communication and apart from that, 4 per cent raids were done on printing and stationary firms. "This facts refutes the AAP's claims that no raid was allowed on ordinary traders. AAP is misleading the people on this issue," the Delhi BJP chief said. Meanwhile, according to BJP, Battery Rickshaw Welfare Association's president Ashwani Sehgal and Treasurer Pawan Kakkad on Thursday joined the BJP. Besides, the party also said that Delhi Taxi and Tourist Association's president Sanjay Samrat and joint secretary Sardar Malkit Singh also joined the saffron party.
