About 300 persons took part in a bike rally covering some 25 villages in Coimbatore district to create awareness on saving rivers.

Titled 'Rally for Rivers', the event organised by Isha Foundation, saw participants in the age group of 18 to 70 years covering nearly 20 km.

A similar rally would be held on August 26, a press release said.

'Rally for Rivers' is a nation-wide campaign launched by Isha Foundation to save rivers in the country and would see founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev himself ride about 7,000 km covering 16 states to create awareness on the issue, the release said.
