Bike-borne Babul Supriyo meets with accident, receives elbow injuries

Union minister Babul Supriyo met with an accident near southwest Delhi's Subroto Park area while he was heading towards IGI Airport on a motorbike this evening.

The Minister of State for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation was rushed to AIIMS and is out of danger. He received injuries in his elbow and is being treated for that, sources in AIIMS said, adding his condition is stable. Supriyo was on his way to the airport to receive his daughter.

His car was tailing the cruiser motorbike which he was riding. He suddenly lost control over the two-wheeler and hit the rear side of an SUV, a senior police official said.
