Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths carried out raids on the premises of Congress leader Mahesh Nagar, a close aide of former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, in Faridabad in connection with the Bikaner land scam case.

The agency stated that Nagar was the official representative of private firm Skylight Hospitality to procure land in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district. Skylight Hospitality is a firm that has been alleged to be linked to Vadra.

The case pertains to allegations that few fraudsters, in collusion with Rajasthan government officials, got allotted a 1,422-bigha land earmarked for people who got displaced due to development of Mahajan Field Firing Range in Bikaner.

They created forged allotment letters purportedly issued by the Colonisation department and land was registered in the revenue records in the name of fictitious allottees without verification of allotment letters.
