Many students pray to Lord Ganesha in the hope of getting good marks. But if we go by an admit card reportedly issued by a university in Bihar, Lord Ganesha himself was to write the examination on behalf of an undergraduate commerce student.

The admit card bearing the image and signature of Ganpati was issued to Krishna Kumar Roy by The Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) in Darbhanga district. Krishna Kumar Roy is a first-year BCom (Hons) student of JN College, Nehera.

Lord Ganesha's picture on the admit card was a sure harassment for Roy, who was forced to meet university staff to get this corrected. Finally, he was allowed to write the university examination which began from October 4, but only after he ended up wasting a lot of time and passing through immense mental trauma.
“I had to submit relevant papers and make several rounds of my college for the past one month because of my faulty admit card,” Roy reportedly told after the goof-up.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the university has distanced itself from the controversy. “The mistake was not at our end but that of the cyber cafe where the student had gone to submit his examination form online. At our university, all examination forms have to be submitted online,” LNMU registrar Mustafa Kamal Ansari was reported as saying by the Hindustan Times.

According to the registrar, admit card so downloaded needs to be verified and countersigned by the college principal before the candidate is allowed to appear in the exams.
