Bihar receives moderate to heavy rain, Met predicts more rains

Moderate to heavy rainfall

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in

the other parts of the state.

Gaya registered 23.0 mm rainfall, followed by Patna

with 7.2 mm, Bhagalpur with 3.5 mm and Purnea with 2.5 mm

rainfall recorded between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Met bulletin

said.

Gaya received 29.8 mm rainfall between 8:30 am on

Sunday to 8:30 am on Monday, it said. Bhagalpur and Purnea

recorded 13.8 mm and 5.4 mm rainfall respectively.

With South West Monsoon normal in Bihar in the past 24

hours, places like Dehri received 8 cm of rainfall, Sheikhpura

and Indrapuri received 7 cm each, Sherghati recorded 6 cm

while Ramnagar and Aurangabad registered 5 cm each, the Met

office said.

Patna recorded the highest maximum temperature of 32.4

degrees Celsius, followed by Purnea - 32.0 degrees Celsius,

Bhagalpur 31.7 degrees Celsius and Gaya 30.5 degrees Celsius,

the bulletin said.

In its forecast, the Met office said Patna, Gaya,

Bhagalpur and Purnea may witness generally cloudy sky with

possibility of moderate to heavy rain, thunder shower or

thunder storm at some places tomorrow.
