While Bhartiya Janata Party has been able to attract several leaders of RJD and JDU political outfits to its camp, many of his own leaders and party workers have rebelled.

Same is the case with Bhagalpur assembly constituency where the district unit of BJP is supporting Vijay Prasad Shah who was President of the Bhagal Mahangar BJP unit. Shah is contesting as an independent candidate who was refused MLA ticket by the party. BJP's official candidate from BJP is Arijit Shashwat who is son of a senior BJP leader and MP Ashwini Choubey.

Many believe that the conflict between Shah and Shashwat may easily clear the way for Ajeet Sharma who is contesting on Congress ticket and had won in 2014 election as well. With support from both JDU and RJD, there are chances of victory for Sharma more than that of Shah or Shashwat, political observers said in a report by Catch News.

If media reports are to be believed, Party workers including BJP's Bhagalpur unit's vice president Niranjan Shah, have openly expressed their anger against party's diktat and are backing Shah.

So while two of the BJP members will fight amongst each other, Ajay Sharma of Congress may have an advantage over them.
