During his rallies in four districts in Bihar on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken a jibe on Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for his controversial remark on beef eating.
He also said that Lalu's statement was against the spirit of Yaduvansh as well as Indian culture where cows are regarded as mothers which caused Lalu to retract his statement.
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has not hit out at PM Modi accusing him of double standard. With reference to India's number one position as a beef exporter, Nitish wrote on the micro-blogging site Twitter that during his tenure beef export increased by 15.4% and yet PM Modi is trying to make beef an issue in Bihar elections.
Modiji’s double speak at its best–beef exports went up by 15.4% in his 1st year as PM, yet he tries to make beef an issue in Bihar elections

On the other hand RJD supremo has challenged PM Modi for an open debate and asked him to answer questions on governance, census, development, social justice and reservation, to which BJP hasn't responded so far.
बिहार के समावेशी विकास,समाजिक व आर्थिक न्याय,आरक्षण,जनगणना,गुड-गवर्नेस पर मैं मोदी को खुली बहस की चुनौती देता हूँ. आइये हो जाये आमना-सामना
