Bihar Polls: BJP President Amit Shah announces NDA's seat-sharing formula

In a press conference in New Delhi, BJP President Amit Shah announced seat arrangement deal among BJP and other allies for the upcoming Bihar elections. 

Out of 243 seats, BJP will be contesting 160 seats. Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP will contest from 40 seats,  Upendra Kushwaha​ led RLSP will fight in 23 seats. Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's  Hindustan Awam Manch (HAM) has been allotted 20 seats. Amit Shah said that some party leaders from HAM will fight under BJP' s symbol. 

Amit Shah said all differences have been ironed out and that PM Modi will be campaigning for all the four parties. 

He said that NDA under PM Modi is confident of getting two-third majority in the state. According to Amit Shah, already there is a rift in the mahagathbandhan, which clearly shows which way the wind is blowing. 

Amit Shah mentioned the development package announced by the PM and said that the current CM Nitish Kumar has not even shown the courtesy to acknowledge the grant. BJP President said that most of the statistics quoted by Nitish Kumar are from the time when BJP was part of the state government. He appealed to the people of Bihar that they have given chance to JD(U), RJD and Congress and this time  they should give opportunity to NDA. 

Amit Shah made it clear that NDA will not project any CM face for the upcoming elections.  He said that land acquisition ordinance is no longer an electoral issue. Amit Shah said that NDA will fight the upcoming election on the plank of inclusive development. He said Nitish Kumar wants himself to be equated with Bihar, but citizens of the state has rejected his claim.
