The issue of cheating in exams in Bihar continues to crop up as question paper and answers for the second phase of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) were leaked on WhatsApp on Sunday as soon as the exams began at 11 am.

According to Jagran, rumours of the question paper being sold for Rs 1000 had been doing the rounds since Sunday morning. The leaked question paper and answers soon went viral on Whatsapp as the exam began.

In a separate attempt to cheat in an exam, police found 13 bluetooth and credit-card type devices with SIM card and button batteries, power banks, 10 other batteries, 90 earphones, 10 cellphones and four separate SIM cards,  vests and shirts with wires, and sleek devices stitched to them at Kranti factory road in Patna, reports The Hindustan Times

The recovery was made in a rented house on the road, which falls under the Agamkuan police station.

Three people were arrested - Pawan Kumar from Fatuha (who was the mastermind), Bipin Kumar from Nalanda and Navneet Kumar Rai from Motihari - in the incident.  Pawan Kumar said that he “managed exam centres” and had conspired with government officers in the competitive exams of police, excise and prison departments.

BSSC conducts exams to appoint clerks in the state government.
