The Congresss today demanded immediate sacking of state minister for disaster management Devesh Chandra Thakur for preferring to holiday in Goa and Mumbai instead of expressing solidarity with people killed in the devastating storm that struck Bihar on Tuesday last.

BPCC general secretary, Prem Chandra Mishra said, "The chief minister should sack the errant minister who preferred to holiday in  Goa and Mumbai when the state faced the worst ever natural tragedy in which more than 83 people were killed in Bihar alone".

Mishra said AICC general secretary and in-charge Bihar affairs Jagdish Tytler and Sagar Rayka (secretary AICC, in-charge Bihar affairs) would visit the cyclone affected districts soon and suggest to the Centre to provide monetary help to the affected people and reconstruct the houses of the poor people that were blown away in the storm that lashed five districts of Bihar.
