Bihar CM Nitish Kumar holds meeting with officials for faster implementation of '7 resolves'

The Chief Minister had seen a presentation by Bihar Vikas Mission, constituted to implement the resolves on Tuesday. His election strategist Prashant Kishor was made a member of the mission, headed by the Chief Minister himself.

According highest priority to the implementation of his seven pre-election 'resolves', Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday held a meeting with officials of different departments, for the second consecutive day, for their faster execution.

Kumar discussed actionable points in the implementation of the seven resolves with officials and gave them necessary instructions to get into action mode at once, an official statement said.

The meeting discussed threadbare plan prepared by different departments for implementation of the seven resolves in the next five years, it said. Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, Development Commissioner Shishir Sinha, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Amrit Lal Meena, his counterparts in Finance and Building Construction Ravi Mittal and Deepak Kumar respectively among others.

The seven resolves are - Rs 4 lakh loan credit card for students, a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 for eight months twice in two years for students to help them search jobs, free WiFi facilities in colleges and universities, setting up of a venture capital of Rs 5,000 crore for young entrepreneurs, toilets in all households, free drinking water and electricity connection to every household.

The seven resolves, which would incur a cost of Rs 2.7 lakh crore on the state exchequer, were announced by Kumar during polls to counter the special package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore of Prime Minister Narendra Modi besides Rs 40,000 crore of previous packages.

The Chief Minister in the meeting today reviewed proposal to set up registration cum consultation centre for youths in districts which would help in distribution of Rs 4 lakh education loan, a training centre in spoken English and computer literacy, the statement said.
