The call for Maharashtra bandh has received a mix response in Pune since Wednesday morning where normal life has hardly affected. The shops and offices opened as usual but many people preferred to stay at home to avoid any inconvenience.

Usually very crowded roads were deserted since Wednesday morning. Though no holiday was declared to schools by authorities, many private school operators decided to shut their schools as a precautionary measure. However all the public schools were functioning as usual.

There were some incidents of stone pelting reported in parts of the city including Sukhsagarnagar, Sinhgad road, Dehu road. Some unidentified people pelted stones on city buses on Sinhgad road area after which the bus service was disrupted on that route.

Though the state transport service was functioning normally, the buses on Pune-Satara route and Pune-Baramati route were cancelled on Tuesday.
