In fresh trouble for Aam Admi Party in Punjab, an audio clip has surfaced in the social media of a telephonic conversation purportedly between Patiala MP Dharamvira Gandhi and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, reports The Indian Express

The conversation happened on the eve of AAP taking power in Delhi for the second time. In the four minute long audio clip, a voice allegedly of Mann is expressing his discontent at the workings of Delhi leadership. He reportedly said that AAP hasn't merely won seats in Punjab due to the symbol but also due to goodwill and hardwork of the respective leaders.

Incidentally, Dharamvira Gandhi has been currently suspended by AAP for anti-part activities. But the conversation clearly indicates that Bhagwant Mann was also not too happy with the party leadership a few months back. He accused the leadership of not understanding Punjab politics where people vote for individuals not for a party. Mann was unhappy that MP's are not being given a free hand to chose their teams.

Mann has not reacted to the controversy but Dharamvira Gandhi has confirmed that it was a private conversation between two of them to The Indian Express. However, Gandhi has categorically denied that he was recording the phone call. According to him, it must have been done by intelligence agencies who keep tab on opposition leaders.  He also indicated that the same people who Mann was being critical of may have leaked the conversation. Dharamvira also expressed his sadness at Mann changing his political stance now.
