In a few weeks, people in Bengaluru can hire a scooter for as less as Rs 20 per hour. A report in The New Indian Express, states that when the Metro’s East-West corridor becomes operational, this service will come into effect. Wickedride Adventure Services which is based in the city has signed up with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) and will be launching the 'Apna Ride'. The stations from where you can take this service are Indira Nagar, Trinity Circle, Byappanahalli, Sampige Road and Peenya. And the bikes you can take for rent are the Honda Activa and Honda Navi.

G Anil who is the co-founder of Wickedride has told the daily that they run regular bike-hiring services in 11 cities in India. He stated that there will be 30 electric bikes available at these stations between 5 am in the morning and 11 pm at night. There will also be five regular bicycles. The more expensive Harley Davidson and Royal Enfield will be available on the weekends for people to rent.

When a person wants to rent a bike, they are provided a bike, helmet, and a lock. Fuel charges are included and since the bikes are fitted with a GPS they can be tracked at all times. The company also plans to introduce long-term schemes for regulars and as of now has a three-year contract with the BMRCL.
