BJP national president Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Goa, has stated that BJP has no plans to ban beef in Goa and that it will not discriminate on communal lines. "Goa has a law disallowing cow slaughter and it was passed during the Congress regime. We have no plans to ban beef in Goa," he said at a meeting.
While quoting Sachchar committee report, Shah claimed that the development of the minority community with regard to business and education is far better in Gujarat as compared to other states.
He advised the BJP leadership in Goa to be ready for 2019 Lok Sabha elections. During his visit he also met BJP MLAs, panch members across Goa and senior party functionaries. He also laid out the strategy for Goa BJP.
