Barkha Shukla dubs sexual harassment case against St Stephen's professor as 'shameful'

According to reports, the student alleged that the professor had sexually harassed her but the authorities tried to hush up the matter after she complained.

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Barkha Shukla Singh on Saturday dubbed the alleged sexual harassment case filed against a professor of St Stephen's College as 'shameful' and called for an investigation over the matter.

"It is a prestigious college and it is shameful if anything such has happened. This matter should be investigated properly and the guilty should be punished" said Shukla.

The Delhi Police has registered a sexual harassment case against a St Stephen's College professor of after a PhD student filed a complaint.

According to reports, the student alleged that the professor had sexually harassed her but the authorities tried to hush up the matter after she complained.
