A couple from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh has claimed the kid who was reportedly denied entry at a McDonald's outlet in Pune on January 10, is their son who went missing in 2012.

The fast food outlet on JM Road, Pune reportedly denied entry to a 8-year old street kid Aakash, who wanted to have a 'Fanta Float' from the joint. As the story went viral on social media and television channels with pictures of Aakash, a couple from Bareily Hasnain Musharraf (50) and his wife saw them and have now claimed Aakash was indeed their eldest son Raju who they had not seen for the last two years.

Online reports claim Musharraf's neighbours urged him to see the video on television news channels telling him that they had spotted his eldest son Raju, who went missing in 2012.

What happened in Pune

The video showed the little boy, Aakash (8), selling balloons on the street when Shaheena Attarwala offered to take him to a McDonald's near by. The boy was allegedly pushed by a member of the staff saying that 'people like him were not allowed to come inside'.
The incident was described in detail through a Facebook post, the girl who had brought the child with her into the restaurant. She also captured this on video.
The post soon circulated on social media causing a major public outrage over the discrimination by McDonald's. Since initial media reports, the fast food giant has suspended the security personnel who was allegedly involved in throwing the 8 year old child out. "The concerned security personnel involved have been suspended pending completion of an enquiry," McDonald's said in a statement.
