About 100 people were taken ill after consuming stale prasad in Masauli Sadatganj area, health department officials said in Barabanki on Wednesday.
The prasad, which included sweet 'boondi', was distributed in Borakala village two days back at a religious place, the officials said.
The remaining prasad was distributed next day after which 100 people from four villages complained of nausea and started vomiting, they said.
The victims were admitted to primary health centre. While most of them were discharged, a 10-year-old girl Rinki has been referred to district hospital, the officials said.
Community Health Center in-charge R C Dwiwedi said the people fell ill due to food poisoning.
