Bangladesh President visit: Taj Mahal to close for 2 hours tomorrow for public

In view of Bangladesh President M Abdul Hamid's visit to Agra, the Taj Mahal and two other monuments will remain closed for the public for few hours on Saturday.

The Taj Mahal will be closed from 11 AM to 1 PM, Fatehpur Sikri from 1.30 PM to 3.40 PM and the Agra Fort from 4.25 PM to 5.25 PM, according to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Tourists will not be allowed to enter the monuments during their respective restricted timing, N K Pathak, Superintending Archaeologist said.

The Bangladesh President arrived in New Delhi yesterday on a six-day official visit during which he will hold talks with Indian leadership with an aim to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

It is the first-ever visit by a ceremonial Head of Bangladesh to India.
